GLASS
 Use a mild liquid window cleaner and a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the glass surfaces.
 Clean the interior and exterior in opposite directions. This way if you see a streak, you’ll know which side it is on.  Example: Clean the interior using horizontal movements and the exterior using vertical movements. If you see a horizontal streak, you’ll know it’s on the inside of the glass.
 To avoid streaking, avoid cleaning glass in direct sunlight.

SCREENS
 Use a damp soft, non-abrasive sponge or soft cloth to gently wipe any debris from the screens.
 A mild soap solution (dishwashing soap is useful) diluted with warm water can be used if needed.
 If your vacuum has a dusting brush attachment this can be used to gently vacuum any loose
debris or dust.
 To avoid tearing your screen use limited force when cleaning.

FRAME, TRACK, AND SILL
 Vacuum dirt, pet hair and debris from the sill or track prior to washing.
 Use a damp soft, non-abrasive sponge or soft cloth to gently wipe any debris from the frame.
 A mild soap solution (dishwashing soap is useful) diluted with warm water can be used if needed.

keep the window in alignment.

SLIDING WINDOWS
 Open the window to the halfway open point, then lift up while tilting the lower portion towards you to release the sash.
