The salesman was pleasant and explained the advantages of your windows clearly and in detail. The demonstration with a heat lamp showed very definitely the superiority of your windows over others and was very convincing. However, it was a mistake to claim that the openings would only be without a window for 10 minutes, since I was led to wonder about the truth of his other statements (it was winter) the front picture window was out for 2 hours. This did not really matter though, since the house temperature dropped only 2 degrees. The installation workmen were polite, considerate and did a neat job. They cleaned up after themselves, but I do not understand why the salesperson who had seen the house could not pass on to them any tips concerning the house that might help them with their job. Example, in my case the hedge in front of the house comes right up to the building in front of the picture window making access difficult.

I thought the installation went well. The windows look very nice both inside and out. Mr. Jerry Woldt spent a lot of time at my house. He was able to answer all my questions. I was home at the time of the installation and I went outside when they had just put them in. I was disappointed to see that not all the rotten wood was replaced. They did replace some. Not all. I had the 2 windows installed on the north side of my house on Feb. 4. On Feb. 6 the wind was from the north at about 20mph. I was very disappointed to feel a lot of wind coming through the window itself. By the time you get this letter, I hope we have resolved this issue. I spent way too much money on these windows to have them leak.

It is a sliding window with screen on the outside, something we have looked for many times and finally found it. It was made to fit our space; it has 3 layers of glass and 2 layers of high performance low e coating. It will do well. We also have a new aluminum storm door and a new entry door. They are Pro-Via doors, color dark green. We picked these doors for the energy efficiency that they guarantee, the style and the warranty. The storm door has a lifetime limited transferable warranty. The entry door also has the same warranty. It is textured steel and fiber glass. Both doors blend in well with our home and gives inside and outside a very nice fresh look.

I especially liked the call which reminded one to take down any pictures etc. from the walls before the installation process. After installation, the windows seemed to be tinted more than I expected. Through time I believe I will adjust. I just hope your prices were more customer friendly so I could replace all my windows right away.
