Our roots go back to 1967 when Rolland Young Sr. started a roofing business in the small town of Bear Creek, WI. A few years’ later siding and replacement windows were added to the business. By the early 1980’s the business had out grown the Bear Creek location and moved to the city of Clintonville at 3 South Main Street, then later moved to 85 South Main St., and finally relocated to a 22,000 square foot facility at 71 South Main St., in Clintonville.
Through the 1980’s and into the 1990’s the siding and window business continued to grow while the roofing business shifted from residential to light commercial.
As Rolland Sr. neared retirement age in the mid 1990’s he wanted to keep his reputation for quality products and excellent service growing long after his retirement. His two sons Rolland Jr. and Scott were involved in the business from “day-one” and each had developed their area of “expertise”. Rolland Jr. was the roofing expert and Scott was the siding and window expert.
The business had grown to the point that the current Clintonville location no longer was large enough to house both areas of expertise. In 1999, the decision was made to move the roofing business to a new location near Marion, WI. At the same time Rolland Sr. sold the roofing business to his son Rolland Jr. and the siding/window business was sold to Scott. By this time, a branch office in Appleton, WI was necessary to accommodate the growth of the window-door business.
By the year 2000, the window-door business and siding business could no longer fit at the current Clintonville location. In an effort to hold off moving to a larger facility, the siding business was sold to a friend of the family who could uphold the standard of quality and service established from the beginning.
A branch office was also opened in McFarland, WI to service the growing number of window and door customers in the southern half of the state. In only two short years, the window-door-patio room business was “bulging at the seams” and the move to a larger facility could no longer be put off. In 2001, the current facility at 71 South Main Street, Clintonville, WI was purchased more than tripling the available space.
Currently Advanced Home Technologies, Inc. is ranked 94 in the top 500 remodeling businesses in the United States as published in the Qualified Remodeler Magazine. Our growth has been the result of offering the best quality products in the industry, hiring “top notch” employees, and “service second to none”. Our windows and doors are professionally installed and serviced by our own factory-trained installers.
Our goal is to offer consumers the best value for their money. A lesson well learned over the years is that “quality pays”. Many times children of our previous customers call us to install our windows or doors in their first homes after seeing first hand the value their parents received from our company. Advanced Home Technologies, Inc. is in this industry for “the long run”, bringing value to generation after generation.
To make sure our customers receive the best value for their money, we decided to have a line of windows manufactured to our specifications. This line of windows was designed to be “second-to-none”, to take our industry “to-the-next-level”, and to offer energy performance higher than our industry has ever known. With the technology available today, we were able to design these exceptionally high performance, high quality, easy to operate windows at a price that is competitive with lower quality, less energy efficient windows.
In 2003, we began to offer our customers the Milestone Window and Patio Door Collection. Our tradition for unsurpassed quality, value, and service continues to be the envy of all businesses in our industry.
